A pretty face can look good with multiple hairstyles, and Katie Holmes is a prime example of that! She has recently moved into the fashion forward style that many runway models and celebrities are starting to use – the chin length bob.

With her basically straight hair and a slightly oval face, Katie pulls off her chin length style with ease. As a warning, if your face is round, you will want to go with a higher bob, or a haircut that extends about mid-way between your chin towards your shoulders so that you don’t frame your face. You don’t want to make your round face look rounder.

What is great about this style is that you don’t have to do much to it to keep it looking nice every day. Even if this style gets tousled by the wind, or you don’t have much time in the morning to fuss over your hair, you can achieve great results with just a comb and some water. That is how Katie has managed to be a busy actor and mom as well as a fashion icon without too much fuss!

But if you want her more elegant and sophisticated look, you will need a medium sized round brush to comb the hair out, wrap up the ends, and blow dry the tips into a slightly upward curl. Then you can sweep the hair over your forehead and hold in place with some hair spray. If you have straighter hair, you can blow dry most of it without a brush and then use a larger round brush for the ends. And if you have wavy or curly hair, you will have to blow dry the hair the entire way, and then go back to the ends for flair.
